ARTHUR EKREM INTERVIEW / MEDIA AND POLITICS IN 2019

ARTHUR EKREM

Addison Davison - March 17 2019

In the thousand or so interviews I've conducted, I find it fascinating each time I run into another unique political Maverick, who is free from the constraints of a party or a system.

Today I had an interview with Arthur Ekrem who's written a blog called DCBULL.com  and has hosted a radio show over the years. In addition he's been part of the political establishment since 1980 and his family's involvement was in play 30 years before that.

The grandson of Norwegian and Italian immigrants, Arthur Ekrem entered politics during the Reagan years in 1980 where he found a unique opportunity to express his young voice for someone who was his senior by many years.

In my discussion with Mr. Ekrem, he strongly feels the two party system is seriously flawed and dying fast. "The only hope our great nation has for revival is through a new party order that will not play under the current DC system of so-called democracy. A fresh candidate will be a leader of industry who will scare the crap of the DC insiders, and stimulate hope and fresh thinking in the minds and spirits of a new generation of i-Phone voters. Lawyers turned policy makers run the House and Senate - this platform has had its day in the sun and the next generation will demand better".

This has been the sounding board for Ekrem's relationships in business and politics as we head into the next decade.

As an extremely intellegent, well spoken and articulate individual, Ekrem launched into varioud business and political pusuits at age 17. He does not possess the fancy college pedigree of many of his contemporaries.  In fact he dropped out of high school, only to get a GED and then finish school thru a private business degree program and audited law school for the sake of a basic understanding of the rules and laws of business.

In 1984 Mr. Ekrem founded his own business and consulting firm in Los Angeles and DC called Arthur Ekrem Consulting (AEC).

While highly diverse, AEC and its strategic partners maintain stringent expertise in each area of the specialized services they offer. Clients have included national politicians, entertainers, sports teams and athletes, real estate firms, commercial banks and investment concerns in the United States and abroad.

In addition, for over 20 years Mr. Ekrem shared a consulting firm called The Hartke Group, with retired United States Senator Vance Hartke who served the state of Indiana from 1956 to 1976. Senator Hartke’s impact on Washington DC was unrivaled  until the time of his death, where he advised parties on both sides of the aisle and the White House.

Arthur Ekrem serves as an advisor and contemporary for those in pursuit of the White House, Senate, and the Congress. He is called upon often as a featured advisor, guest speaker, and commentator on the state of political affairs. His website, radio show, and blog, named DCBULL.com have served as a sounding board for a change in the political climate of the last decade. It has been Mr. Ekrem's opinion, that the two-party system is dead and that we will see unusual and unique candidates arise who will seek office in place of the more traditional candidate.

Arthur Ekrem continues to work in Washington DC with consultants, think tanks, and news organizations while driving his own company which benefits the growth of business and economy within the United States and abroad.
